Kokopelli Ski Holidays – Breckenridge, Colorado
Kokopelli, the mysterious humpbacked flute player of the American South West, has been a sacred figure to the native American Indians since pre-historic times. Kokopelli was painted on rock walls and boulders from the time of the Anasazi, the ‘Ancient Ones’, until the 1700′s. A fertility symbol, rain priest and roving minstrel, Kokopelli is a figure associated with good luck, bountiful harvests, song, dance, happiness and love.
Kokopelli Ski Holidays was established in 1995 by James Shingles, and now enjoys a very high level of repeat guests who appreciate the simplicity of things done well.
As the seasons have progressed we have managed to expand our programme without compromising the reason we set up the business in the first place; to provide quality lodging and a personal service. Whilst the catered chalets are our flagship product, we are pleased to be able to offer additional lodging options and packages. James spent his childhood in Switzerland and grew up racing before going on to work for the Swiss Ski School as a certified ski instructor. In pursuit of a mountain lifestyle, James moved to Val d’Isere, France and continued his passion for skiing and telemarking. James now has 12 years experience running and owning catered chalets and lives in Breckenridge.
